A CLEAR MESSAGE
If the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? (1 Cor. 14:8 NKJV)
My family keeps trying to convince me that I don’t hear so well, and I am the first to admit that I do not catch everything everyone says. Part of that may due to raising five children and learning to tune things out and the rest may attributed to a lot of singing, preaching, and louder music as a youngster. That said; I am also convinced that what is said is not always said as distinctly as it could be. No matter what, it is worth it to me to say excuse me so I can hear it again. As you can well imagine this is not always greeted with a kind response, but at least I care enough to ask. I also want to hear everything that God has to say to me.
Last time when we looked at the reason Jesus came we could only scratch the surface of an endless list of things He accomplished, but in one way or another everything can be linked to the fact that He came to destroy the works of the enemy. Especially when you consider that the enemy comes to destroy the knowledge of God and Jesus represented the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He showed us the Father.
Jesus delivered a clear message of who God is. He revealed the fullness of God’s love and power. He was righteous and revealed the benefits of a life lived in the fullness of God. We should strive to do the same, according to the instructions He left for us.
Last night in prayer I heard the Lord say that He was preparing for transition. Now I have heard people teach about transition and how it applies to the birth process, so I was pretty excited to hear God say this. We obviously need some transition in the realm of the spirit with all of the shifts that are going on in our world. I am anxious to receive more of the story from the Lord, but until I do, I just want to encourage people to expect the promises of the Word of God to accelerate as this transition takes place.
At the same time we must also pay close attention to what God desires of our lives as we prepare. God is not a God of confusion and His message is clear. That message needs to rise to the position of highest priority in all of our lives. If we have let it slip, we need to get it back where it belongs.
Recently I heard a man sharing with a large group of people, and I am sure that he had many good things to say, but the sound and delivery was just not clear and only a few if any really heard much of it at all. As I listened, I was impressed by the Lord to make sure that the message, not just the sound is always clear. I think we know that we need to be ready to fight the good fight of faith. Jesus came to make it clear that there is only one right way, and that is God’s way. I cannot say it any more clearly than that. If we want the benefits, then we better draw near to the one who is preparing to pour out the blessings. Don’t wait until you see it. Believe it now, and by faith take hold of the promises.
