God is good. We should talk about good things. There is so much that is not good around us, so let’s do a good thing.

Let’s give thanks to the Lord. He was before the beginning. Is that amazing or what? He chose to make man and watch over Him. How great is that? He loves us so much that Jesus came to show us what He was like and to die for our sins. Now there is something to shout about!

When we were far from God He still loved us. He watched out for us. He has never stopped caring about us. David asked the question why God even pays attention to us or cares for us. He just does. Is that good or what?

When Jesus was speaking with the woman at the well He told her that the day was coming when people would worship in Spirit and truth. The EASY bible says we must worship Him in a true way. How do you truly feel about Him? It is a good thing to consider this.

I think that this will stir us up to consider just how good God is. If we find that we feel like we have fallen short, that is a good thing. We will be reminded to get stirred up about how good God is. We might jump and do a little dance and get caught up on how great He is.

It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, so think about the things you have to be thankful for! Why is it that we generally focus on what we don’t have rather than what we do have? We have the goodness of God! We have the promises of God! We have the faithfulness of God! We have Him and there is no other that compares to Him.

Talk about the goodness of God. Talk to yourself about how good He is. I recently had the opportunity to consider my life before I knew God. Now that was a good reason the give thanks to the Lord. I am so glad that the Lord saved me. He healed my body. He touched my mind. He saved me just in time! Yes oh yes I will forever praise His name.

We need to guard against focusing too much on the troubles and bad things all the time, and take the refreshing opportunity to just look up and consider the goodness of God.

What is good in your life? I have no doubt that there are some less than good things that come to your mind, but fight through them to the good things and just begin to give God thanks. Start with how much He loves you. Don’t be distracted by the reasons that you think He should not. Focus on the facts and the truth. God loves you!

All day long He loves you. Say it out loud; “God loves me!” How does that feel? Say it again!
