AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN

For unto us a child is born. Unto us a Son is given. (Isaiah 9:6) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth Peace, good will toward men! (Luke 2:14)

Here we are again, it is the season of the celebration of the day of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Of course, we celebrate more than once a year when we know Him as Lord! Wise men, women, and children, seek Him daily! He is alive!

Jesus is born anew in hearts every day. We are actually told to be renewed daily. I love being born again. We don’t get saved over and over again, but we are reborn in Him more often than we realize.

Paul spoke of praying for the people until they were born again, again! What in the world was he talking about?

It would seem that they needed the character of the one and only back in their lives when He belongs. Let’s be honest, we can all get out of character in our walk with God.

The joy of salvation begins when we are born again. When we are born again, we experience Christ in a new and wonderful way. In our walk with God, we have born again experiences as we are renewed, restored, and refreshed.

We may be walking in a dark place and here comes the light of the world to light up our path. It is like being born again. Have you ever recovered from an illness and described yourself as feeling brand new? There is nothing like being sick to make a person appreciate good health. It is like being born again. Oh, how I love being born again. I love it when I find new places in the Lord and provide better places in me for Him to dwell. I do not want Him to be uncomfortable in me.

There are times when the Holy Spirit reminds me that I am not as comfortable of a place as I ought to be. Of course, Jesus never moves out, but He should not have to be uncomfortable. We often times open the windows to freshen up the house; in the same way we need to freshen the place up for the Lord.

It is odd that people resist the idea of being born again. It was Jesus’ idea. He said that we must be born again. David asked the Lord to restore the joy of his salvation. We may misplace the joy of our salvation. Think about it! Are you feeling blessed? Or are you feeling weary?

Would it be so bad to rejoice? The Angels appeared to the shepherds and told them to rejoice. Funny thing, we read in the bible that shepherds were despised by people. How fitting that the Lord would come to them and tell them to rejoice. How wonderful that they simply went rejoicing after they saw the child. They received new life and new hope. It was like being born again. No one could take that away from them. People may have still despised them, but they could always rejoice because they were chosen to hear the news. You too, have been chosen. Rejoice. Rejoice again and again and again. Experience the joy of your salvation, again, and again and again. Have a wonderful Christmas, again and again and again! Have you been born again?
