ALL GLORY TO GOD
All glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)
All glory to God! Give God glory. Give God your attention. Give God more than a passing mention in your life. Exalt God. Turn to God and return to God.
This morning I read about Solomon and how God appeared to Him in a dream and told him to ask for anything he wanted. What I had not noticed before God did this, was that Solomon had just gone and offered one thousand sacrifices at a place that should not have been a place in his life. After that dream, Solomon went to the right place and offered sacrifices.
How great is God. His desire was for all of Solomon. This is how God feels about you too. He never stops in his attempt to draw us near to Himself. He is able through His mighty power, working in us.
God is working in us. If you are reading this, God is working in you. If you are not reading this, He is working in someone else to reach you! He is more. He has more and wants more for us.
God wants us to know Him. When we know Him, we appreciate Him. Our appreciation for Him causes changes in our lives. We can ignore Him, but He will not ignore us. He paid to great of a price for us to stop working in us.
He is capable of infinitely more than we know. As I read in Ezekiel recently, my heart ached at the messages he had to deliver. When God says things like, “No more delay.” I wonder if we are there today? In some places I think that is exactly where God is standing. I do not want to be a frustration to God.
Still, He is able to accomplish infinitely more. Do we comprehend what infinitely more is? Honestly, I think we fall short when it comes to thinking about this. Things come up and they look so big to us that we are so busy fretting that we are forgetting what God can do.
No matter what happens in our lives, God is bigger, better, and more than capable of overcoming whatever it is. We just need to begin to give glory to God and His ability.
This week, something flew into my eye. It immediately got my attention. It was stinging like crazy. Unfortunately, I delayed in actually dealing with it. Finally, it became so painful that I went to wash out my eye and discovered that it was a bug, perhaps a tiny tick. When I got it out, it tried to crawl away, but I did not let that happen. Still, it got me, made my eye red and it stuck shut for a bit.
This made me think about bugs in the spiritual realm. We need to be aware of them. Check them and take care of them quickly before they cause our eyes to stick shut!
