ALL GOD WANTS
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. (Isaiah 55:11)
Can we rest in God, knowing that He will accomplish all that He has planned to accomplish? Resting in God is not just doing nothing and expecting Him to do it without us.
Resting in God is trusting Him with the fruit after we do our part! There are no good excuses for not doing our part; and we do all have a part. It is not a brutal assignment that we wring our hands over, it is the natural outflow of allowing Him to fill and prepare the path before us.
We are all going somewhere and doing something every single day! We naturally speak of what is important to us! Don’t we? Sure we do. When we become new creatures in Christ, things change. Sometimes we change a lot and other times we change slowly. We are given robes of righteousness and as we go through our spiritual closet, we find new things that fit better and some things that do not fit at all. Eventually, we get rid of what does not fit! Also, along the way, we discover things that we meant to get rid of; they were just buried in the back.
So, we simply need to ask ourselves what it is that God is working on in my life, and what is God working on through my life? We cannot say that God cannot use us. He is using us; we just may not see it as that. In Luke chapter four, Jesus opened the book and said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me.” He goes on to tell about the anointing that brings good news!
Get ready for this; He said we are just like Him in this world. He made it clear that we have a spring in us that is always ready to overflow. We have in Christ more resources to draw from that google search could ever provide! Remember we need only to access what God has promised. In order to access we must believe it is there for us.
Holy Spirit has been given to us to lead us into all truth. Guess what, the world needs truth. Not just truth about what is going on in the world. We cannot change what people prefer to believe, but we can expose them to the eternal truth of Christ.
Hey, we can’t do anything about things we can’t do anything about, but we can do all things that are in God’s plan for us to accomplish. We need only to do and be what He has prepared us to do and be. Some things are seeds that we do not even see as seeds, until we find out that the one insignificant thing we did was the most important thing of all! God can do those things you know!
We are bearers of Good News! God has a plan. God will do what He plans. We can rest in that, because it is true. We need not waste our time figuring out what He is doing. Let’s just rejoice in knowing that He is always doing something. What a blessing it is to know this and understand it even though we do not always comprehend it.
God is faithful and that is what He most wants from us. We can do that! Relax, trust, and display that hope and confidence that is in you. The time of the Lord’s favor is here!
