ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
Considering what He has done, it is only right that you should worship Him in this way. (Romans 12:1 ERV)
When we consider God, it changes things. That is why is so important to consider all that He has done, said, and promised. When we feel forgotten, betrayed, depressed, oppressed, unloved, or unwanted, we need only to really consider Him.
When I got up this morning and went to my chair, as is my custom I began to pray in the Spirit. The Spirit was doing wonderfully, but my mind was distracted. When I brought myself in line, I simply said, our Father and began to consider Him. Oh what a difference that made.
This being Father’s day, as I continued to pray in the Spirit my mind was no longer distracted, but rather attracted to our Father in heaven. I began to consider His love, His protection, His provision, His guidance and the list goes on and on.
He led me to consider how I feel about my children. I considered what I would do for them and the things I cannot do for them, knowing that God can do all things for them. If we are bible readers, we know the scripture that reminds us of how we love our children and we are evil compared to God, but considering that, we should consider what God will do for us.
Yes, we should always consider God. No matter the circumstance, we should consider God. We should ask ourselves if we have considered God.
We should remind ourselves of His great love for us. We should consider all that He has done for us. We should praise the Lord, because the Lord inhabits praise. We should praise Him, because He can work through and for those who praise Him. Yes, we should consider these things!
We probably have all heard someone say, or said ourselves, “All things considered I am doing pretty well.” That generally indicates that we have considered everything but God and what He can do or has promised.
The truth is if we have considered God, we are confident that He is able. When we really consider God, we know we can trust God. If we still have problems trusting Him, we need to consider Him more! I mean really consider Him. Consider His character, His faithfulness, His perfectness, and above all, really consider His great love for us.
Consider how great of a father His is. When you consider God, what comes to your mind? Oh Father, How great you are!
