ALWAYS
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20 NLT)
I love how God is always God. We use the word always about a lot of things. We beat ourselves up because we always make the same mistakes, but really we don’t always. We just always notice when we do. We accuse of others of always doing things that they really do not always do, but again we notice when they do. We always forget. We always get angry. We always wish we had done more or done less. We always want what we don’t have.
Always can really get us down at times, but the truth is; only God is always! He is always faithful, always true, always with us, always for us, always God!
Sometimes, a word just melts everything else away. As they say, one word from God, or highlighted by God can change your life. Always was the word that captured me completely this week and will continue to be a source of all that is God for me in the future. I was talking with God in a coughing storm and as I said God you always; that was the end of what I had to say. I do not even remember what else I had in mind because all I could think about was the always of God.
I mean, He is always! He is not God just when we remember we need something from Him, He is always. To be honest, I have a hard time putting this in words that are mentally understandable, so hope they are speaking right into your spirit. I pray that you can bear witness with the alwaysness of God. He alone is always and He alone always wants to be personal and up close in our lives.
He is not about what He does but rather about who He is. Pleasing God requires that we believe that He is and that He rewards. Knowing God adds that always factor. He said that He is God and He does not change. He said that He is with us always. He is always looking for us waiting for us to look to Him.
This week was a time when you could look up and see a huge and bright moon. I looked out the window and had a wow God moment and then I thought about how God feels when multitudes look at His creation and all wow at the same time. We should do that more.
I was reminded that God always notices when I take the time to do that. He always notices when you take time to look up and praise Him. He is always watching. He is always planning ways to draw us nearer. He is always planning for our good.
Think about the always of God. Always look to Him knowing that He was looking at you first. We can always trust Him. We can always count on Him. We can always cast our cares on Him. He is always!
