AMAZING

How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in Him should ponder them.(Ps.111:2 NLT)

What would happen if the whole world were to ponder the deeds of the Lord. What if every one would just think about how God could handle a situation, or what God has empowered us to do in any given situation. It sure would change things, wouldn’t it.

Well, we know that people who do not know God are not likely to do that very often. Except of course when something terrible happens. Then they say it is an act of God. So for the most part, the people outside of the body of Christ see God mostly as someone who is non-existent until something terrible happens. Then He is the one who they want to blame.

This is not surprising to anyone, and it should not be. The sad thing is, that far to many Christians are guilty to one degree or another of thinking and acting the same way. We sit and judge the actions of people who do not know Christ, and all the while we are just as guilty as they are. God really does not expect non Christians to act any different. He does however expect us to.

Notice, that this scripture says that those who delight in God, should ponder His deeds. We should always be considering His will and His ways. We should not give in to fear and doubt. Rather, we should consider God’s ability. Psalm 21 speaks of God’s glorious power. It is not power that we have to work up. It is the power that is in the Name of Jesus. That is where our focus needs to be. When we keep our eyes there, we can see that nothing is impossible for God.

In His word, we can find an account of His great power to overcome in every situation. Whether it is death, sickness, poverty, danger, sin, or any other thing, God has overcome it. Sometimes he empowers the people to accomplish the miracle and other times he just does it. Which ever way He chooses to do it is perfect. Our part is to have the faith to expect Him to act.

Truly it is amazing the things God has done and the things He has promised those who love Him. It is our responsibility as believers to be an example to other believers and to those who do not know God at all. God said that if we would just open our mouths, He would fill them. If we will speak the Word boldly, God will fulfill His word. This is not name it and claim it or any thing like that. Is simply one of many of the amazing promises of God. To say or even to think that God will not do what He promises, is to call God a liar. And we all know that God can not lie.
