CAN GOD FAIL

Fight the good fight for the true faith. (1 Timothy 6:12 NLT)

The Word of God is full of examples of the faithfulness of God and reminders of how we must not let go of His faithfulness. We are told to hold fast, fight, press, run to God, and the list goes on and on. Of course we know that the reason we are told this is because the devil lurks about seeking whom he can devour. We do not want to be a tasty treat to the enemy.
When we consider how sure we are of our salvation and how sure we are of our desire for God, we must also understand that our desire for God is influence by our confidence in God. He wants us to be confident in Him. Remember, He is the one who said we should taste and see that He is good.
So, can God fail? The simple answer is no! No way! Never! If we do not have the simple answer, we will cloud with issue with complexities. What do I mean? Well, we try to qualify our answers. We try to come up with situational excuses as to why we think God failed us or failed in some way or situation that we witnessed somewhere.
If you answer simple questions about God with questions, then you have found a place where you are not so sure about God. This is a good place to apply the scripture that says let your answer be simply yes or no. We can be honest. We should be honest. If we have a circumstance or situation where we think God can fail or has failed, we need face that situation until we have the revelation that God simple does not fail. Then we can say, “I may not understand everything, but I do understand that God cannot fail.”
If we have things from the past that we hold against God, we will never really be able to detach ourselves from them and move ahead. They will always hold us back.
So are we sure of God? Are we so sure of God that we do not need to understand everything in order to be able to stand and declare that God is good and He cannot fail?
Say this, “God has never failed me.” Does that roll of your tongue with a yes and amen, or with a pause or hesitation? Be honest with God and yourself. The sad fact is that far too often people cease to move ahead because they are convinced that for one reason or another God let them down. Some just give up all together!
We need to be willing to battle through to the victory God has promised us. So as Paul said, when we have done everything we know to do in order stand, we need to continue to stand strong with the resources God has given us. Again, I need to be sure of only one thing in order to stand and that is that God will not fail because He cannot fail. He does not owe me any explanations; He is God! I am not!
