COMPLETE
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:19)
When did you realize your need for God? Jesus started the sermon on the mount telling us that this is where heaven starts. Until we know we need Him, heaven is hardly a consideration in our lives.
We remain incomplete, striving and looking for something that we do not know. Knowing we need God turns all of that around. Now we know what we need, but we are not sure how to get it. He is standing right with us with His arms out telling us to come to Him. He is what we want, but it takes time to accept that it is really that simple.
He tells us that He is the way, and we think we need to find the way. It is like looking for your watch when it is on your wrist or looking for your glasses and they are on your head. It gets frustrating!
Frustrated Christians are interesting people. We can be miserable and confused and try to act like we have it together. We know what we are supposed to be like, but we can’t fool ourselves. So, we continue to wander about looking for something that we already have. He takes His place in us and He completes us and because we know there is more, we can only see what we are missing.
Oh, for the day we decide to enter into His rest. He is waiting for us to trust Him. He is patiently guiding us. He is all we need!
Paul prayed this prayer for us. May you experience the love of Christ. His love is so special and so easily accessible. But it is too great to understand fully. Still, we can enter in and enjoy ourselves as we gain understanding of our standing with Him. He loves us.
We do not earn it. We cannot lose it once we choose it. He says that He loves us with an everlasting love. I want to love Him in that same way. If I refuse to believe the lies of the enemy that say that God could not possibly me when I fail and I trust that He does not lie. I can stand in His love.
David did. Yes, David did. He failed in a huge way, and God never missed a moment of continuing to love Him with an everlasting love.
What is your experience with His love? He has been loving you for your whole life. I have learned to sit down in His love. Oh, believe me, sometimes it is like musical chairs. You know, when you are walking around the chairs waiting for the music to stop and hoping to find an open chair when it does.
The difference is, with God there is always a chair, and you do not have to circle around waiting for the music to stop. No way, you can just sit down and enjoy the music. Do it now!
