How is the testimony of Christ confirmed in you? This was the question that I asked myself as I read this scripture. What does this mean? When I considered that a testimony is something that some says I came to the conclusion that the Lord is planning to confirm what Jesus said in our lives and through our lives.

In other words, all the promises that Jesus made; all the things that He declared concerning those who would follow Him; He planned to see it worked out in our lives! We are His house. We are His workmanship. We were created to confirm the word of God.

It sounds impossible. It sounds foolish! But then God does use what seems foolish to confound, confuse, and prove that it is really natural thinking that is weak and foolish. So, what are we going to believe?

What could possibly prevent the testimony of Christ from being confirmed in our lives? I guess the only thing that could do that would be our refusal to believe what He says. Let’s face it, we have been somewhat conditioned to make what Jesus said conditional. He said it, but He only meant it for certain things, at certain times! Isn’t it strange that we take God’s word with about the same certainty as we take a weather report? In fact, as the science of weather improves, people are more likely to let the weather man control their life than they are to let Jesus have His way. If the weather man says it is going to be cold we prepare for cold. If God says it will be ok, we hope so, but we won’t believe it till we see it!

Well, I don’t know about you, but I am excited about allowing the testimony of Jesus be confirmed in me. I like the idea of doing things even greater than He did. Of course He gets the glory, but man what an experience to be a part of.

What are some promises that you have seen in the Word of God that you wished would come true for you, but you just never could really imagine them being for you? Wouldn’t you like to see those words proven in your life?

We will have to take a stand to stand and to not waiver, but if we will, we will behold the glory of God. I believe He wants this more than we do. Remember, the world is looking for the life that Jesus came to provide. They are waiting to see His testimony confirmed now in this life time. When they do, they will have opportunity to take part in the same life here and eternal life with the Father.

Lord prepare us to be confirmations of your testimony.
