CREATED ANEW
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10)
Christ in us…that is, He is, our hope in Glory. We were made in His image. We all tarnished that image. When we called on Him, we were made anew so that we could do all the good things He had planned for us before we knew Him. How Simple is that?
We have a robe of righteousness and in Christ we are what He says we are, even if we do not see it. I was thinking about that, and I had a picture of a plain T shirt that really is not plain. Everything we are, is written on it, we just do not see it. As we grow closer to Him, things begin to show up! We begin to see what God has done in us. As our understanding grows, we realize our need to live up to what we say and what He sees.
As I prayed last night, I said to the Lord that He can do all things. “It is nothing for you to help Lord.” I can ask, but I can do nothing. Then it occurred to me that He is in me and He can do all things. He in me is perfect. However, I wonder if the me in me is not the thing that limits He in me. Truly, He must increase and I must decrease. Lord help my unbelief! Needless to say, I have a lot to ponder there.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I have noticed that all things do not go just the way I desire. Still, staying close to Him, seems to keep the road smooth. He fills in the bumps and waters the dry places. He fills the cracks and as long as I stay close, it is well with my soul. It is good to remember how good God is.
Unfortunately, it is easy to focus on what is not good and forget How good God is. We all need an alarm that goes off when we head in that direction. Like rumble strips on the road that remind us when we are driving distracted, we need to pay attention to Holy spirit. We need to turn up the volume or focus our attention more on what He has to say.
God is so faithful. We can trust Him. We must trust Him. We must look to Him and go to Him all the time. Don’t wait until you get to the place where you think He has forgotten you to realize that You are the one who has forgotten Him.
Isaiah spent three years walking around naked to make God’s point to the people of how naked they were spiritually.
Someday, the Lord will be worshipped by everyone everywhere. Until then, I want to be sure that He is worshipped by me. I want to encourage everyone to praise the Lord. We all need to dwell in His presence. Worship creates the atmosphere of His presence. Worship stirs our hearts and pushes back evil. Evil is not going to win. Remember that. Lord, keep us from evil.
