CRUSH EXCUSES

If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them, do not let them influence you! (Jeremiah 15:19)

God is good! He just is! I trust Him! He never fails! He is for me! Blessed be the name of our Lord.

As I read Isaiah and now Jeremiah, I find the desire to pray and praise in self-defense!  Not as a means of excuses or justifying myself, but rather I am grateful that I am not seeing what they saw. Or am I. The people refused to serve the Lord. Isaiah 12:17 says that any nation that refuses to obey God will be uprooted and destroyed. Come on America! As I looked at my journal I was prompted to say to the Lord, “We have all that we need to accomplish what You desire. We just need to do it.

Yes, we just need to crush the excuses. One day I found a shirt in my drawer that said just that. CRUSH EXCUSES! I am not certain where it came from, but I liked what it said. Seriously, we like to make excuses, but we really do not like to hear them! Jesus said to let our yes be yes and our no be no. We are right or we are wrong. Gray is killing people. Billy Joel has a song where he says, you may be right, I may be crazy. It is ok with me if people thinking following Jesus is crazy.

To that I would declare that I am crazy blessed just to know Him. If we know Him, we have no excuse for not doing what He says. I am not Isaiah or Jeremiah or anyone else. I am a child of God. That makes me a family representative! If we are in the family, we must take seriously the call to influence them and not let them influence us.

“Them” are anyone who exalts anything that is not God! If we think that we cannot do what God says all the time, we are wrong. Crush the excuse. If we think we cannot change. Crust the excuse and be honest. We might just have some things we do not want to change! Be honest. Face it. Crush it. Whatever it is, is not worth what it is doing to your life.

I liked the effects of many things that were useless: Then I met Jesus and discovered that there was, is, and never will be, any high like THE MOST HIGH! I have declared that truth for more than 40 years!

There is nothing that we can cling to, that compares to Him. Let it go! Crush it! Be a real influencer. A real influencer reveals Christ, because He is the source of all good things, and He can and will help all who call on Him to represent Him. If we want to help, we need to present Jesus and represent Jesus in our lives.

Only you and God know what you excuse and why. People often say, get real. I am not even sure if that is acceptable speech these days, because there is a movement to remove what is right and just and true. Take a stand. Crush excuses and be who God really made you to be. Talk and walk like a child of God.
