How often should we pray, praise, rejoice, give thanks, trust, believe, walk with Jesus, and obey Jesus? Every day. It is a choice that we can make or not, but it is a choice.

Today, we celebrate the choice that Jesus made to walk into the cross. For His whole life on this earth, He chose daily to continue in the plan so that we could be saved. Every day, He followed His Fathers and our Fathers wishes. He always pleased God because that is what He chose.

He knew it would not always be easy and still He chose what God wanted. I am so glad that He did. I am so glad that He is still choosing us. I am so thankful that we can choose Him.

We are little stones in the road of life. We cry out to Him. We cheer for Him. We fight the good fight of faith with Him. We do, if that is what we choose.

Every day, we have a choice to make. Every day, we can choose life. Jesus told us that life would not always be easy. Unless, of course, we chose Him, because He knew the way through and over every obstacle of life.

He is the one that made the trail and marked it. He is the one who has been in all the caves and knows the way out. He is the one who sees us and listens to our calls and answers. Today is the celebration of the beginning of the culmination of His victory and ours. He chose this, so we could choose Him.

We know that the people chose Him when they thought He was doing what they wanted. We also know that they changed their minds when it was not going their way. Do we do that? Do I do that?

Do we start out praying and believing? Do we trust for a while? Do we praise and give thanks and then get on with life. Today is a good day to consider which crowd we are in. Are we in the crowd that can out shout the rocks?

We are told that the crowd turned on Jesus and they shouted, crucify Him! Surely there were some in the crowd that were silent or shouting, no! We may never shout crucify Him, but it could be that our silence leaves Him in the tomb.

This was a crazy week in the life of Christ and the people who had chosen Him. The old song, Were You There, says, Sometimes, it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble…sometimes I imagine the disciples and the roller coaster of emotions that they went through. It can cause some anxiety.

I encourage you, as I challenge myself, to consider this day and the choices we make. Will we honor God daily? Will we at least press toward that mark? Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes Yes, Lord!
