DO YOU BELIEVE

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; But the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and Father in Me, or else believe Me for sake of the works themselves."(John 14:10 & 11 NKJ)

Jesus was revealing a very important thing to us all here. He was showing us what it is to be a vessel for the service of Almighty God. He was and always will be THE SON OF GOD, but He was also our example of how things work in the Kingdom of God.

He assures us that He and the Father are one and that what He spoke and is still speaking, are the words of the Father. He also made it very clear that once He spoke, it was the Father who did the works. Jesus was never under pressure to perform, because He was not the performer! His Father was.

He encourages us to believe Him. He was quick to say that He could not do anything in and of Himself. He left His Deity in heaven with the Father, so that He could come to earth and show us exactly how the Father planned for us to live.

It is imperative that we believe this, or we will not believe anything else that Jesus went on to say. We must not settle for a head knowledge that this may have been true then. We must know that it is true now. It is a truth that must be so much a part of us that we can join Jesus in His confidence of the Fathers performance of every word. This was why Paul could declare that he could do all things through Christ(the anointed One and His Anointing)who strengthened Him. Jesus was acting here on this earth under the anointing of the Father. And remember, that Jesus said that just as the Father sent Him so He was sending us.

Do you believe that the Father is in you? If Christ is in you, then so is the Father. Do you believe that the Father speaks to you? Do you believe that He performs the works? Do you expect Him to perform the works? Are you totally dependent upon Him to perform His word, or have you mistakenly thought that somehow the pressure was on you to perform? This truth can and will set you free. The manifestation of the presence of God is not dependent upon your performance. Healing does not come because you pray just right, it comes because you believe. Deliverance does not come because of the authority you work up, it comes because you believe God will do it. When you say to a mountain to move, it does not move according to volume or any other performance we can imagine. It is simply because you believe what God has said. When we get this into our knower, we will be able to believe the rest of what Jesus promised in this passage. We will believe that God will do greater things than He did. We will believe that Jesus will give and do anything that we ask in His Name. We will believe that the Holy Spirit can accomplish everything through us that Jesus said He would. We each need to ask ourselves a question. DO I BELIEVE?
