FILLED WITH EVERYTHING
Christ's love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you. (Ephesians 3:19 ERV)
There is no doubt that love wins. His love wins. The enemy loves to imitate and use partial truth; we know that from the garden! I have always said that we cannot expect people who do not know God to act like they do, but if we know God we must be increasingly watchful so that we do not compromise. We must be wise. We must never let go of the truth that sets people free.
There are many right now in a valley of decision. It has always been this way, but as things escalate in our world we should expect God to ramp it up as well. Where sin does much to abound, grace does much more, so it must be our desire to be filled with everything God has for us. We will never get it all on this side of eternity, but a continual build up provides the good life in Christ. If we fill up we won’t foul up.
My Kenyan son spoke with me the other day. He just experienced an amazing time with God. You see, there was a bus load of people who were stopped by men who got on the bus demanding them to recite the Koran. If they could not or would not they were killed. There were 70 people on the bus and all were killed; or so they thought. At the morgue they heard a shout that one man was alive. That one man was my Kenyan son! He said he did not know he was dead for he was in heavenly visions with the Lord. I am waiting for all the report, but needless to say, I am excited to hear it. After several days of heavenly times, God sent him back. The short portion I have heard left me wanting more.
I share that to say this. After the report of the man raised from the dead hit the news, there were 150 new people who showed up at their church service. The doctors have declared it to the national news and they have asked him to come and tell his story. I am praying that international news will air it. How many will be saved? I do not know, but the Lord has made it clear to him that multitudes will hear and believe.
It would seem that the world right now is shaking its head at what is happening in our great nation. I say, “We will rise again”! Christians, do not throw in the towel. Pray! Declare the truth. Live the truth. People are looking for it. No abomination is greater than the King of all creation. We need all that God has for us so that we can pour it out.
I imagine those people on the bus, and I think of how I would do. With each one being killed there must have been a greater Stephen type of empowerment of the Holy Spirit, for no one lived! Each one chose to refuse to compromise. What a celebration they all had in heaven. I want to be there. I don’t want to be on a bus like that, but if I am, I will either be like my Kenyan son, raised from the dead; or I will be celebrating in heaven. Lord, fill us with everything so that we will give everything for the sake of the truth and those who do not know it.
