FOR ME...IN ME...WITH ME

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. (Psalm 23:1 NLT)

What we speak, is what we believe isn’t it? Sometimes yes and sometimes no! We can know the right words to say and yet depending on the circumstances they may not be true at all. Sometimes we say things to protect feelings or keep from hurting someone. Sometimes people just plain lie. This is sad, but we know it is true.
Unfortunately, this is true not just in the world as we call it; it goes on in the lives of believers as well. We all have our moments when what comes out surprises us. We also say things because it seems like the right thing to say. So yes we are works in progress. We want to continue to progress in our faith.
Consider the simple truth that God is for me. Do we believe that God is for us? If we do, then we know that if God is for no one, no circumstance, nothing can stand against us or defeat us. So even if we do not see or feel the manifestation of the truth; it is still truth.
Christ in us is our hope. He is in us. He said He would be and so He is. So He is our hope. He is our help. He is our strong tower. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. He is greater than all our trials or problems or fears.
No matter what, God is with me. He knew us before we were formed in the womb. If I do not feel like He is for me; still, He is with me. Why would He be with me and not be for me. Even when we walk through the valley, He is with us.
He does not move in and out of us. Remember, He is faithful even if we are not. He promised He would be with us always. He cannot lie. I repeat; He cannot lie.
These are such basic truths from God. We know these things as well as we know our own names, but we often have difficulty allowing them to complete the good work God is doing in us.
Because God’s word is a living word and the word became flesh and dwells among us, these truths stand at the door of our lives knocking. They are ready to supply our needs and defeat our foes. They are waiting to strengthen us and give us peace.
Fear not. Only believe. When Jesus spoke these words they were followed by bringing a child back to life. Taking these words into our hearts gives us life to hold on to and to share. God tells us to let His word dwell in us richly. God is for you. God is in you. God is with you. Let these truths dwell in you richly. Speak them to yourself and they will empower you to bring life to others as they keep you in His love.
