FOR YOU
The true bread from God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:33)
Are we here for God, or is He here for us? How important are you to God? How much are you worth to God? Are you open to new things, even if there is nothing new under the sun? Quite simply, God made the world for you!
All of creation was made with you in mind. This little place, the earth, was specially designed for you and for me. That makes you important. It is in understanding your importance to God that you find your need for God.
Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life.” He told the woman at the well, “If you only knew the gift that I have for you, you would ask me for living water.” Everything He is and everything He did was for you. Everyone is a you if you can believe it. If you can receive it.
This is not a thought to make us self-important and arrogant, but rather to help us and humble us before Him. Who did he say he would never leave or forsake? You! Every you in the world needs to know that He died for you personally. The good news is about you hearing, you believing, you growing, and you sharing the great news. If it is great to you that is what will shine through.
You are not just a little spot in a crowd of people. You are the apple of God’s eye. You are the one who He spreads out a table for in the presence of the enemy. You are the light of the world. He is your friend. He is your deliverer, comforter, healer, provider, and protector. You are special.
When the earth was formed, the icing on the cake was you. All things were created for His pleasure. Can you imagine that you are His pleasure? Your love for Him is what He created everything for. He wants you to enjoy Him. He wants your problems and cares! He just wants you!
I was praying and I took a bag of things to Him. Then I started trying to remember what it was that I put in the bag, but I couldn’t. It reminded me of a scene in the Godfather movie when people would go to the godfather and tell him about a problem. If he decided to take care of it, it was handled. Have you ever wondered why we can spend hours, days, or even years rehashing our problems, and seldom take the time to bask in our blessings? All He is really looking for is your gratitude.
Jesus made a way for you to have life. You, especially you. Reach out to Him and receive the special gift He has for you. Let the refreshing of His blessing wash the other things away. Let your imagination become a scene of you thinking of Him thinking of you. As you do, allow the Holy Spirit to confirm it in your heart. God says, “I want you to know.”
When you bag up all the stuff that tries to keep you from all His stuff, and you bring that to the river of life, it is going to float away, and the blessings will stay.
Sometimes, everything really is about you. Knowing this makes you all about God.
