FREE STUFF IN CONTROLLED CHAOS
For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness. (Psalms 33:4 AMP)
It is pretty hard for people to believe that God is actually doing anything to help things, let alone control things when we look at all the chaos. People use the chaos to declare there is not even a god or to blame Him, because He is supposed to be in control. No doubt it can be a bit perplexing. Even people who believe in God are at loss to comprehend until we simply come to the truth that God is right and He is faithful.
I think that the first time I actually considered God was when my grandmother passed away and my conclusion was that God did it. After all, He was God then just as much as He is now. I had no real concept of the chaos in the world. Our school had fallout shelter signs and drills just in case, but that really did not make any difference to me. Grandma was another thing. Twenty years later I got a whole new understanding, and 36 years later understanding is still being gained.
Paul told Timothy to accurately and skillfully teach the word of truth. The truth is that there is a lot of chaos in the world because God gives people the freedom to choose life or chaos. In the midst of all of this, there is a lot confusion that adds to the chaos. I do not claim to have all the answers but there is one who knows all the answers and if we turn to Him we can have peace in all circumstances.
You see, God has all kinds of free stuff for us in the midst of all of this. In the beginning, He created everything and freely gave it to two people. Those two people enjoyed it for awhile, but as we know, they were soon deceived and chaos took over. Even then, free stuff was available. Cain did not have to kill Able. He had the free choice to obey; but he killed him instead.
Yes, since the beginning, God has provided a way to life and it is all free. Jesus said, “Freely you have received; freely give.”
Where is God? Where was God? Why God? Actually, He is the one who wonders why we do not take what He offers. He is the one who asked Israel what more he could have done for them to keep them from turning away. The whole time of course, they argued that they never turned away.
God offers us everything we need in order to keep our chaos under control. The peace of God is always present. The power of God is always present. God is always present and always free. Choose peace in the midst of the storms. Fear not. God can handle it. He does care. Rest in His promises; don’t let the chaos control you.
