GLORY GLORY GLORY

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify you. (John 17:1)

I begin with questions to myself. Are you glorifying God? Are you manifesting what is in you? Do you want to? Do you want this more than anything else in life?

We were created to bring glory to God. The only questions I feel free to answer with an absolute yes always are the last two. I know there are times when I am falling short of glorifying God. I know there are times when I am manifesting less of God that He has placed in me. God has given me everything I need to fix it.

The fixing does not come through doing; it comes through yielding! It comes from recognizing the places that need fixing and presenting them to God. I really would love to answer every question with yes absolutely. Lord, let the words of my mouth, the actions of my body, and the meditations of my heart bring you glory.

I believe that Jesus lived His life ahead of the game, so to speak. He fixed the potholes before he walked on the road. God will make it way when it seems there is no way.

He was certain that He had glorified Our Father. He was also certain of what He had planted in the lives of His followers. He was confident that many would become glorifiers of God for all the ages. He knew the purifying power of the truth. We just need to work that into our lives.

Jesus was, is, and always will be, the revelation of the character of God. Jesus shows us that God in the garden was and always will be the heart of God.

He made everything perfect. He made it perfect for us. Made it all so wonderful because He desired wonderful things for us. His plans have never changed!

We all desire God. We desired Him before we ever even thought of Him. Once we think of Him, it is our choice as to what we do with Him.

He is the most important, but we alone determine His importance in our lives! If we believe in Him, how could we not seek Him? How could we not worship Him? How could we not desire to glorify Him? How could we think that He does not want that from everyone?

Jesus says that He is sending all people out to do the very same thing He did. We have the opportunity to reveal the goodness of God to the world around us.

This is what Jesus prayed for us. This is what He asked His Father to do for us. This is what Jesus knew God would do what He desired that we would do. He had confidence in us. In fact, He continues to pray for us. He rejoices when we glorify Him. He prays for our restoration when we fall down and cheers when we get back up.

Only you know the answers to the questions I asked myself. Only you know if it is your desire to reveal and bring glory to God. Only you know how important God really is to you.
