GOD IS WORKING ON IT
Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are His people⦠(Psalm 100:3)
It seems I spend a lot of time talking with God. That is a good thing! However, I wondered if I prayed enough. Prayer is of course conversing with God. It was just one of those things that came up in the night, and God did not really say anything in response to my wondering. So, I am comfortable leaving it with Him.
Actually, I am working on leaving more and more with Him. God is working on it is a good answer when I am considering things that are none of my business as well as things that I wonder about myself that I need to entrust to Him. After all, His ways and thoughts are above mine and I can trust Him. Psalm 100:5 declares that the Lord is good. (So, I should be more like Him.) His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation. (Yes, I have work to do in this area as well!) I am comfortable knowing that God is working on it! All I need to do is cooperate. In order to cooperate, I need to pay attention. I need to ask, seek, and knock!
Lamentations 3:22 tells us that the faithful love of the Lord never ends. 25 tells us that the Lord is good to those who depend on Him and search for Him. What could be better? Chapter 5:19 assures us that the Lord remains the same forever! The same as what? We need to know the Lord so that we know what the same is talking about!
We need to know His steadfast love and His mercy. We need to know what He wants and what He expects. How does God feel? How does God feel about me? We all need to know these things!
When Jesus sent the demons to the pigs in Luke 11, the people came and asked Him to leave. They were not interested in a powerful God. They were just fine with the demon possessed men out in the tombs. I wrote about this in my journal. I was just fine with a lot of things before I met Jesus. Consequently, I thought I was JUST FINE! I was far from fine. Now there are a lot of things that I am not just fine with, but I need to remember to seek the Lord to see what He wants. I know He is working on it! I will not go into a list of things that are not just fine, but I will say, there are a lot of demonic things that many seemingly good people are just fine with! Think about it.
What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. (Psalm 84: 4-5) There is joy when we set our minds on God and dwelling with Him. Colossians 3 tells us to consider the realities of heaven. Jesus indicated that His kingdom was with us and in us.
We can enter His joy now. We can have his strength now. We can depend on Him, for He does not change. We can know that God is working on us and on all things. We are not slaves to fear. We are offered the Joys of being His children. I am fine with that. I am overjoyed with that in fact!
