HAS GOD EVER FAILED
If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter… (Psalm 91:9)
The simple answer to the heading is No. No way. Not ever. He could never! God has never failed you. God has never failed me. He has never failed at all!
God never changes, but He does, or He will change us if we desire that He do so. Psalm 119:165 tells us that those who love your law have great peace; nothing makes them stumble.
I love that great peace! Don’t you. I also love the fact that we can be stumble free. I truly believe I will be one day. I suspect it will be the day that I enter eternity, but until then, I can be sure that He will catch me and stand me up to run the race again, because He is my life changer.
Do we believe? Do we want the changed life that God promises? Somewhere inside of every single person there is a loud yes waiting to be released! Somewhere in every person there is a happy dance waiting to be set free! Somewhere.
One way to open the door to the overflow of the Lord is to shut the door on any thoughts that God has ever failed you. If that idea stirs up examples in your mind of God missing the mark in your life, let those things go to the sea of forgetfulness along with your sins! Just let it go. This is a new day. Declare once and for all that God has never failed anyone at any time and He has most certainly not failed you. Now thank Him. Praise Him. Rejoice in the Lord and never stop!
Let your doubts turn to shouts. God likes that! He enjoys our presence. I was thinking about His presence, and it struck me that it is important to be present. I often find myself absent in the presence of the Lord. He is near but I am far. I have the only fix for that. It is up to me to make the Lord my refuge. It is up to me to return to Him. Is up to us to desire to change. We can pray, change me or Lord and I will be changed, but we must do the follow through.
We were listening to some teachings recently that confirmed notes that I have in my journals. One man spoke of being lights in this world. Another spoke of progress. Another spoke of going all the way, and yet another talked about dancing and celebrating our way into His presence.
I love confirmations from the Lord, but I did not see them as, boy I have those things down pat, moments, but rather I saw them as reminders of what the Lord has been saying to me. It is one thing to write them down, but it is another thing to be doing them. I was encouraged and challenged. My desire is not to be right; my desire is to be right with God!
We have not entered into all the light that is ours. There are rooms in our Fathers’ house that we have yet to experience. The promises are not just for heaven out there, but for the Kingdom of heaven that is near us and in us. All things are possible with God. If they were not, He would not have said that they are.
Let’s get rid of the things that so easily defeat us and run this race to win. Nothing can stop us when Jesus is our captain. Let the truth rule.
