HOLD ON

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. (Hebrews 10:23)

Lord, forgive me. I find myself disgusted with some of the things I see going on. I have been praying for God to expose and dispose of what needs to be exposed. Then I remember that it is the thief who deceives and destroys. I realize that most of those rioting and destroying things are pawns being paid!  So, I pray, Lord open the eyes so they can see.

I am reminded of how Belek offered Balam money to curse Israel, but God blessed them instead. The people who curse our country and burn our flag and destroy property will meet God one day. So, what should we do?

Hold on. God can be trusted to keep His promises! Just keep your eyes on Jesus. Remember His promises. He has a promise to meet every need.

In our own lives, there are destructive things that come up, and we wonder why? We wonder how such things could happen. Sometimes we wonder why we are so fortunate when things turn out good. There are just a lot of things that make us wonder. I have often praised God for the privilege of living in America. Then I see people who have no clue how fortunate they are! But there I go, distracted and off track. Back to the plan. Keep holding on.

When you are discouraged, hold on. Remember that God is faithful. Take your eyes off those things that are nothing compared to our wonderful Lord. I did not say they are nothing. I did not say they are not important. I did not say that it is no big deal if you are hurt or feeling down. I simply say that all those things are easy for God to help. Lift your hands and hold on to the hands that reach out to you. God is near, and He will not leave or forsake you.

I am reminded that God laughs at His enemies. Why should I pay attention to those things that disturb my soul, when I can pray about them and focus on the goodness of God. The more I see people trying to destroy America, the more I love this, ONE NATION UNDER GOD! In the same way, the more I see and hear people mocking and questioning God, the more I love and trust Him.

He is truly able to work all things out for the good of those who love Him! We who know Him, know this is true.

Do we understand everything? I sure don’t. God simply tells us to stand and keep standing. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep praising. Keep sharing the truth everywhere you have an opportunity. God is good! God is great! People everywhere need the Lord!

Lord, rescue the perishing. I was one. Your amazing grace saved a wretch like me! Thank you, Lord!
