HOW'S YOUR LIFE

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.(1John 3:2)

Is there room for improvement in your life? Even if things are great, there is always room for greater! Are there peaks and valleys? Are there some pits? Are there some places where you have lost hope? Are there things you would just rather not think about? Do you believe that Jesus is the answer to all things?

John said, “We are children of God.” First and foremost, we must see ourselves as children of God. Say, “I am a child of God!” Say it until you believe it! Say it until you start to feel like an heir with Jesus!

Now look at those situations in life that are stealing from you. Are you in debt? Is your health being attacked? Are there things that are stealing your joy? What ever it is, we need to understand that it is not from God. These things come straight from the thief who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.

It is important that we search our hearts to see if there is anything we have done that has opened the door for the enemy, or if there anything that we have not done that has kept us from what God has for us. Have we given so that it can be given unto us? Have we taken care of our bodies? Do we praise the Lord at all times? Do we expect the Lord to be revealed in our lives? Do we expect Him to come on the scene to change things?

We need to learn to consider this and all scripture as God’s word for the present. For too long, too much of scripture has been pushed way out into the future. This has been done even though God Himself said that it is all good for now! Why should we wait until we die to see Him as He is?

God tells us that if any man is in Christ, he should walk like Him. That indicates to me that we should do it now. If we believe that, then our goal should be to always reveal more of Him. Every time we gain understanding a little more of Him will be revealed. Every circumstance good or bad affords us another opportunity to see Him revealed.

That being the case, we can stand in every situation, no matter what it may look like and declare that even though it may not look like it, soon we will see it the way God really wants it! In other words we can say, “I may look sick, but by His stripes I am healed.” Or we can declare, “My finances may look like a wreck, but I have set myself to seek the Lord and things are working out for me.” Expect the revelation of the Lord in all things!
