INTERACTIVE
When I am with the weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can save some. (1 Corinthians 9:22 NLT)
The ultimate goal of knowing the love of God personally should be to spread the love abroad by the Holy Spirit who is given to us. In fact, the natural out flow of understanding would be to pass on that understanding in deed and word. Notice, I said deed first, then word. Of course sometimes the words will precede the deeds, but ultimately they should flow together. Although you can have one without the other, but it is not the way they were made to work.
Knowing God’s love produces confidence in His power and presence. It increases our anticipation and expectation of His confirmation of His word. His love builds us up; then it is our assignment to put it to work. As much as we would prefer it, God does not force us into action. We must run the race!
As I read this passage scripture I had to check myself to see if I was focused on the salvation of souls. Of course I join God in wanting all people to be saved, but can I say with Paul that I am doing everything I can to save some? I think so. I hope so. Ultimately God knows. So, I need to pray about that. I definitely want to run the race to win the prize! I most certainly would not want to save some and lose me! For this reason, I find it is always beneficial to allow the Word of God to have its way in my life, and ask the Lord to search out anything that is not right.
So then, faith in God should make us interactive. I remember when computer games were developing and they had the reality headsets so people could get right in the action. Now, there is pokey man and though I have not gone searching I have read the reports. Talk about interactive. People get so involved they are hit by cars, fight each other and well; it is interactive.
We should be super interactive with God on a personal level and that in turn should move us to those around us. We should be ready to pray, comfort, and help in any way we can. We should be encouragers as He encourages us and helpers as He helps us. Honestly, that is what our hearts want to do. Fear of failure often interrupts our heart of God desire, so we just have to fight through that and win that battle.
In a hopeless and helpless world, we have hope to spread and then defend. We have help that we do not even fully comprehend. We have the promise of God to confirm His Word. Oh Lord, let your words be my words. Cause many to be brought to glory. Recently when I asked God how He loved the way He loves, He spoke to my heart and said it was because He could see the end. He knows our end with Him and our end without Him and He so wants us with Him. The more I think of that the more I think of so many who are not saved. Help Lord! What must I do to help?
