LIVE THE LIFE
Like new born babes, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment (1 Peter 2:2 NLT)
God has shown us a picture of our real life in His son Jesus our Lord. This is what God intended for us. Just as He intended for Adam and Eve to dwell with Him, He wants us to dwell with Him. He has given us all that we need to live the life; we simply need to do it.
As Peter points out, we need to do whatever we must in order to grow into the full experience of salvation. There will always more with God. There will always be better with God. We simply must be determined to go there.
No self help book guarantees success. They promise success if we apply the principles. They sell pills for losing weight and with the pills they include eating and exercise instructions. Funny thing about that is the sales pitch says you don’t have to do anything but take the pill. When you read the terms you learn the rest of the story.
God not only makes us promises; He provides all the tools for success. His only requirement is that we seek Him, call Him, desire Him, and yes, obey Him.
Everything God promises is absolutely free and absolutely guaranteed. In fact He guarantees that it will be above and beyond what we can hope or imagine. Jesus simply said, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
Jesus also said that He came for the very express purpose of providing us with abundant life! Yet, many see Him as a fantasy. Even with evidence staring them in the face, they refuse to believe.
We all from time to time doubt, neglect our great salvation, or think something is impossible. But really those are not our thoughts, those are imaginations exalting themselves against the truth and God gave us a remedy for that. He said to simply cast them down, submit to God, and resist the devil and the devil will flee.
The key is being all in with God’s plan and promises. What we really love; we crave! How often do we crave His pure nurturing? When we do, what happens? We find ourselves snuggled by the Lord. So why don’t we just make it a habit. When we are busy, we can stop and crave. When we are hurting we can stop and crave. When we are happy we can stop and crave.
The more we do this, the deeper we go into the full experience of our salvation. We need to stop spending time worrying, doubting, struggling, and chasing things that can never satisfy our souls. Instead, we need to crave God. That’s where we experience real life.
