We have all experienced, knowing that we did everything just the right way, only to find out that maybe we forgot one or two things. You know those times when you took something apart and carefully put it back together, only to discover a part still sitting there. I am not certain which is worse, not having enough screws or having an extra one wondering where it belongs. Neither situation is great, but I always wonder what is going to fall apart if I did not get everything in that I should.

Well, when it comes to our walk with Jesus, we should never be surprised to find out that there is more to learn. When Jesus was telling the disciples about how things were going to change, He told them that they had never done it this way before. When I read that, I wondered how they had been doing things! Were they saying things like, “What Jesus said?” Or, “It is supposed to work this way, so line up.” Have you ever wondered about that? Maybe I am the only one who wonders things like that, but I doubt it.

So, have you ever had Jesus point out that there was a better way to do things? Are you one who is quick to give it a try? I have to say, that on most things I am not real quick to jump at change, but when it comes to God telling me, I don’t haggle much. I do try to make sure it is Him of course, but if it fits with his word and won’t give the devil any ground, I am going to jump in and go with it.

This is pretty much what is happing for me now. I have prayed in Jesus Name for more than twenty years, but for some reason I am feeling like it has been the right words without a whole bunch of understanding.

I have pretty much been a person who knows God answers prayers, and actually expected Him to answer what I asked on behalf of someone else. I have been a little hesitant about the same when it comes to my personal life. In fact, I don’t ask much. I really am pretty content, but that may not be helping all of the others that I could if I asked more.

The most important point I feel a need to get across with this message is that we need to be willing to change with what God says. We need to seek Him expecting Him to increase our understanding. I believe that He is opening up a whole new thing for me because I have opened myself up to receive it. It has been made pretty clear to me that if I do not move ahead in this area, I will be robbing God of doing what God wants to do. In the past I was okay doing things the way I did, but now I have a mandate like the one Jesus gave the disciples. I am not certain what changes are in store, but I am certain I will not resist the leading of the Holy Spirit. At least I will try not to! Are there changes that God is speaking to you about?
