NEVER FAILS

“But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you!” (1 Peter1:25)

The word of God never fails. The word of God never fails. I know, I said that before. If it would help us all to remember, I would just keep saying the same thing. We need to know this! We need to have this, and a multitude of other promises locked in to our minds. This is how we fight the good fight of faith.

The angel told Mary in Luke 1:37, “the word of God will never fail.” Mary received it from the angel and that was that.

We are told to receive the word of God engrafted. In other words, get it down in your heart until there is no doubt. We can question. We can wonder. We can reason. But we must not doubt.

Doubt simply delays the promise of God. I want to rush His promises if I can! Last week we talked about how simply giving thanks honors God. I thank you Lord that your word never fails.

As we read the Old Testament, we have example after example of how the word of the Lord that was spoken was fulfilled. There are words that are yet to be fulfilled, but we see signs in the promises that were to proceed them.

It is such a joy just to know God. Don’t forget that joy. Stir up the joy that was placed in you when you were saved. The Joy of the Lord is our strength. That is a word from God. His joy never fails. This is why we are told to rejoice in the Lord always.

We may not like everything that is going on, but we love you Lord. We rejoice in you Lord. We will continue to rejoice in you till the walls fall down.

Whatever is standing in your way. Whatever difficulty comes against you; just begin to praise the Lord. Luke 24:53 tells us that after Jesus ascended the disciples spent all their time in the temple praising God! We know they did this, until they didn’t.

They praised until they let worry and doubt slow them down. You can only praise for so long. Then you have to go fishing or something!

We can go fishing and still praise the Lord! We can hurt and praise the Lord. We can praise the Lord in all things and through all things. We should set our hearts to praise the Lord. Yes, we can, because the word of the Lord never fails.

Keep the word of God active in your life. Keep praise and thanksgiving active in your life. Forever!
