NO TRIUMPH FOR MY ENEMIES

By this I know You are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.(Psalm 41:11)

There is something that we can depend upon and take great comfort in as born again children of God, and that is that there is no triumph for the enemy. He may win a battle or two, but He cannot win the war. He may cause us grief from time to time, but he will never be able to enjoy a victory celebration. You see he knows that he cannot win. Even when he manages to gain an advantage, he always has Jesus standing in his face reminding him that he already lost.

The only way that the enemy can experience even a moment of triumph is if we let go of the truth of God’s word! As long as we remember that God is on our side and refuse to give in to the lies of the enemy, we win!

In Micah 7:7 we see a great plan. He says, “Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.” Micah was surrounded by enemies even in his own household, but He would not give up on the promise of God. He went on to warn his enemy not to rejoice over him. He said, “When I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.”

When we fall, we have someone to pick us up. The enemy has no one! When we are surrounded by darkness, we have the Lord as our light. The enemy has no one! Never forget that God is for you. You can come up. You can come out. You will survive. Don’t let the enemy have even a moment of rejoicing over you.

The enemy wants only one thing, and that is to steal, kill, and destroy everything that he can. He attacks marriages, finances, families, and relationships of every kind. Anywhere that we give him an opportunity; he is there. So the key is not to give him opportunity.

We need to recognize what is going on and look to the Lord. I know, we say, “But I have looked to the Lord and nothing has changed.” Well, just keep looking to the Lord. He looks a lot better than anything that is troubling you! Just keep reminding yourself that you cannot lose and the enemy cannot win.

We cannot be victorious if we do not have confidence in our victory. We cannot shine a light of triumph with an attitude of defeat. The Lord has placed His countenance upon us, we must not allow our own to cloak it.

From time to time we all experience battle fatigue, but we must not give up. We must recognize it for what it is and look to the Lord. None of us want to give in. We all want to arise. We would like to never fall and we should never plan on falling. However, we always know that no matter what we will arise over our enemy. Say it, “There will be no triumph for my enemies.” “God is for me.”
