NONE LIKE YOU

Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone and God! I am God and there is none like me. (Isaiah 46:9 NLT)

Truly, nothing compares to God. No person. No place. No thing. He is all that He says that He is. What a day that is when we catch the fullness of the truth. Well, we really will never catch it all in this life, but once we glimpse the possibilities it is life changing.
God is the only place where satisfaction is completely guaranteed. There are no disclaimers. There is no limit to the lifetime guarantee. There is no fine print and we do not have to keep track of paper work. He is in us and He has promised. Truly God; there is none like you!
I love the way that God promises and then says let me show you. He offers to prove Himself over and over. If He has said it, then it is done. We may doubt in the waiting, but we should not. We can track the shipment and know it is out for delivery.
Unfortunately, we often put more effort into tracking a parcel than we do into His promise. Think about it. When you order something you expect a tracking number. If the tracking number does not show up you write the company. If they do not write back you call them and put someone to work looking for your order. We all have different steps we take including contacting our credit card and canceling the payment then ordering again if necessary. On rare occasions we just forget the whole thing and save the money.
So when we pray, shouldn’t we be just as determined to see things through? Shouldn’t we check in with the shipper? He does not mind if we remind Him that He promised. Of course we do not like delays, but when our package arrives from an order we are glad. Should we be any less patient with God? We have many things written in His word that assure us that He does not fail. He tells us to remember the things He has done. Sometimes is even best if the order is canceled.
Everyone has a favorite thing to eat or favorite places to shop. There are stores where we know right where things are and when they rearrange the store it may throw us off for a bit, but we will find someone so we can find what we are looking for. We come to expect certain things because we have developed a relationship of sorts with the provider. See the picture?
I think we would be wise to develop at least that much confidence in God. If we will do that we will not be disappointed. God has promised that too! So draw near. Allow God to transform you by the renewing of your mind. This is my challenge to me. I want to have daily transforming moments. I want God to redirect me with a touch like I guide my motorcycle. I also want to recognize that moment as a God moment. Each God moment we experience and recognize as a God moment, adds to our transformation. Nothing satisfies like a God moment. Look for them.
