NOTHING TO SAY

Seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. (Acts 4:14)

It is a great place to be. What place? The place where we have nothing to say against the Word and ways of God! The Holy Spirit will bring us to that place. The thing is; we must recognize it.

For instance, when we recently noted that God’s Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, and etc., there is no need to add to or subtract from that by making excuses about why we may or may not be there yet. Often times the psalmists would make statements and then say; think about it. Jesus would say things that seemed way out there and then just walk away. That is what the word of God does at times. He says things and then leaves us to think about it. Our answer to what God says really should be yes and amen until we own that truth!

According to God’s word, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. We have been made more than conquerors. God always causes us to triumph! There is a long list of statements that were not put in the Bible for us to argue about. Jesus simply said, “This is the way. Walk in it!” What could be simpler than that?

When we read the Word of God or hear someone teaching us and find ourselves making excuses as to why it will not work, we need to consider the source of that thinking. If it is the Word of God and nothing is being said to take away from it, it just may be that the enemy wants to rob us of a truth that is key to opening a door to a place we need to be. Seek more. Say less!

Remember, we do not achieve a level of success with God, we receive it. If we think we achieve it by time spent in prayer or study or working; then it is no longer a gift. No it is in our submission to God and our determination to resist the devil that we take our rightful place. The greater our submission; the stronger His position in us!

There are things that are so clear in the Bible about who were are and what are called to do, and yet the enemy keeps people confused, discouraged, and deceived. People declare that they just do not know what to do or wonder if they even have a place in the Kingdom of God. Those are silly thoughts because God has already said that we are kings and priests.

The key is not to find our place. The key is to take our place. We cannot know our place until we are ready to take our place. Some people think they know their place before they are prepared for that place and often times are frustrated because they are looking at the place rather than into the face of Jesus. We need to see ourselves as soldiers in training for any mission that we may be assigned. We may not know what it is, but we are certain we can do whatever we are sent to do because we have trained and prepared to handle anything that we are called to do.

Our place is where we are until we are in another place. Everywhere we set our foot is a place that is transformed from darkness to light. God is looking for us to develop a “bring it on” attitude. Our place is a place of preparedness. We are to be prepared to the influence the place that we are. We are to grow where we are and occupy where we are at the level God intends. No one can say anything against that!
