NOTHING TOO HARD
"O Sovereign Lord! You have made the heavens and the earth by your great power. Nothing is too hard for you! (Jeremiah 32:17 NLT)
Have you ever given up hope? Have you ever just said, “it’s too hard, I quit?” Have you ever given up on someone else as a lost cause? Have you ever refused to obey what you know God wants, because you decided it would not do any good? If you have, the reason is because you forgot this one very important truth. Nothing is too hard for God.
There is no doubt that things are too hard for us. We would often rather quit than keep believing what God says. But we will never have peace or true freedom until we yield to the truth. With man it may seem impossible, but with God all things are possible. God is always able to do His part and He is more than willing to help us to do ours. The bottom line is that we must desire the will of God more than we desire anything else in life.
The Bible says that God does not want anyone to perish, but we often give up on people. Worse yet, we may not even try to show them Jesus. We do this because we forget the benefits of obeying God. The Lord pointed this out to me recently as I was trying to figure out a new sound system. I was having problems with a microphone, and finally discovered that it had a bad spot in the chord. Well, quite often when there is a bad chord you just throw it away, but this time I decided to investigate. I found the break was only about two inches from where it hooked into the plug, so by cutting off only about four inches of the chord I was able to make it as good as new. Of course it was not as simple as just cutting it and that was that. I had to work with it to get it all together in a way that it would still work. I did not know for sure if I had it right until I plugged it back in. Well, praise the Lord, it worked and I was really glad because I did not have another chord and could not get one in time for the next time we needed it, and because it saved having to buy another one when this one was practically new.
When it was all done, God spoke to my heart about the importance of each person. We all have connection problems from time to time. Sometimes it is an easy fix, other times it may take a lot more effort, but no matter what, God is able if we are willing to put in the effort. Did you ever think of how many people are just left in piles, determined by others to be beyond repair, when in fact it would only take a moment for God to change them completely? Remember, God did not give up on you or me; we should not give up either.
Another thing that came up recently is some distortion in one of my ears so it sounds like I have a cracked speaker in that ear. Believe me, I am trusting for that to be healed. In the meantime however, I feel like God is saying that there are many who are hearing but it is being distorted by the devil and so we need to pray for the distortion to go away so that they can hear the truth clearly. We may even be the distortion for some. We may not be revealing the truth through our lives. May god see to it that we begin to give a clear sound and a clear picture to all.
