NOW THAT YOU ARE STANDING

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. (John 17:17 NKJV)

We said previously that standing for truth accelerates the Kingdom of God in our lives. So what does it mean to have the Kingdom accelerated in our lives? That is a good question! One definition of the Kingdom of God is righteous, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit. It would be a very good start to know that these things are accelerated in our lives would it not?

The reason it is so important to press until we become people who stand for the truth is because it is the only way to become active participants in the Kingdom of God. Sure it is good to have a ticket to get in, but if we do not actively participate we may get bored and walk out or worse yet we may wander out and not even realize we have!

The decision to stand for truth must be all encompassing. In other words, once we have determined that we will stand for truth, it means that we will not only stand for the truth we know but also for the truth that we will know even though we may not grasp it right now. We know the truth will prevail.

For instance, the coming of Jesus was prophesied long before Jesus appeared in the flesh. The truth prevailed. His crucifixion was prophesied far in advance as well. Jesus then told them what was coming and everything was accelerated. Jesus also told them He would rise from the dead and that only took three days. The truth prevailed.

With that in mind, consider some other things that were prophesied. Was our healing prophesied? Was our protection prophesied? Was our salvation prophesied? Was our provision prophesied? Of course, we all know the answer to these questions is a resounding yes!

So tell me; were these things truth when they were spoken or do they only become truth when we see them manifested. The answer of course is that they were truth when they were spoken. They are accelerated when we stand in, on, and for them.

Our salvation was provided long before we accepted it. The same is true of everything else in the Word of God. Have you ever noticed that when Jesus was praying in the 17th chapter of John that He was still alive when He said He was no longer in the world? He had already moved into the future because He was that certain of the truth.

He still went through all that He did, but for the joy that was set before Him, He endured it by going past it, standing for the truth. Now that you are standing; stand!
