Hosanna Restoration Church

Recently we talked about repairing the breach and about the fact that the Word of God is unbreachable. From the encounter of Eve with the serpent until today, the enemy has done his best to create a breach between creation and the Creator. The goal of course is two-fold; to hurt God and to destroy us! Fortunately, God is not one to give up; His Word goes on and on and on. He spoke and all things were put in motion and His desire for each and every person to live with Him eternally cannot and will not ever be breached.

It would seem that it should be easy to love God and yet in order to love God we must know God. Anyone who will spend time with God will come to love Him and the more we do love Him the more we realize that it is the easiest thing in the world to love Him. We may find it difficult at times to conform to His will and ways, but if we will stand on His unbreachable word, we will find it is just as easy as loving God because we desire to please Him more than we please ourselves.

My most recent experience with this came as I was cruising on my God Wing. As I have mentioned, it is my prayer closet and as I was riding and telling God how wonderful He is and how grateful I am, and how I will never understand all of His goodness toward me; He simply said, “It is because you love me.” Even now whenever I consider this is causes me to pause and well I really cannot put into words what I feel. He went on to point out that I never argue with Him, I am never irritated with Him, I never blame Him, I never question His ways or His motives etc. Then He dropped what seemed like a bomb on me and told me that I could love my wife the same way!

This was like a double explosion. One explosion of conviction that I certainly did not love my wife that well or that way, and the other that I was pretty sure He was telling that I not only could but that I should! Of course this does not mean that I cannot disagree with my wife like I do not disagree with God, but I can do it with the love of God which certainly changes a person’s attitude and the way they actually act and react!

Well, I was not about to argue with God about this so I immediately said that I was willing to receive the grace to do this right. Guess what? The grace was there for me to take. What a difference grace makes! I can only say that something changed when I chose to take on this assignment. I am not going to tell you that I have perfected what God has given me, but I am telling you that it is really easy to comply and such a blessing.

Like all things with God, He is pointing out how this attitude has limitless applications. He is pointing out His command for us to love one another is wrapped up in this and that it is possible to accomplish what often seems impossible at first glance, because His Word does not wither and lose its power; it just goes on and on continually increasing in power in us.
