OUR AMAZING FATHER

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1 NKJ)

What an amazing way for God to start His communication with us. What an amazing revelation! Where can He possibly go from there? How could it get any better? How can we comprehend a God who has such power and authority that does everything because He wants to be a father to us?

How can we not love Him? How can we not trust Him? How can we resist falling helplessly in love with Him? Our Father is amazing. His love for us is amazing and every one of us has at one point or another realized that that there is no way that we deserve the love that He lavishes on us. Friends, we are loved!

It is because we are so loved, that I am determined to love God the way that He desires to be loved. He said that we should love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and that is the desire of my heart.

Worship has always been what I love to do the most. I love to praise the Lord. I love to lead others into His wonderful presence. Scripture tells us that we can enter His presence praising and giving Him thanks. He says that because we love Him He will satisfy us with long life and show us His salvation. So it only makes sense that we would love and praise Him.

Some folks have the attitude that all the singing and praising and shouting and dancing or whatever people to do express themselves to God just takes too long and is a waste of time. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. One moment in God’s presence; one word from God; can do far more in an instant than all the teaching in the world. Of course there needs to be teaching and preaching too, but the hearts need to be open to receive it, and worship prepares our hearts.

Well, as I said, I am on a mission to love God and I have asked God for an anointing that brings people deeper into loving God. I don’t want to love God for what I know He can and will do for me. I don’t want to love God because He says I should. I don’t want to love God for any other reason than because He is my Lord and my Father.

I cannot tell you exactly how it is going to work. I have no formula. I just asked God to pour out His anointing in such a way that I will love Him and lead others into the place where our love blesses Him. My desire is that we come through all of the pretense, as sincere as it may be, and simply melt the heart of God with a love so deep we cannot bring ourselves out of it. I really want to enter a place where the love for God is so strong that it influences every other part of my life and the lives of those who desire the same thing. How can we not love our amazing Father?
