Evil powers have authority over the dark world. They have no authority over those who walk in the Light! Jesus said, “You are the Light of the world!” You are one who was in darkness but have seen His great light! Let the truth boost your power.

It is difficult at times to remember that we are not fighting flesh and blood when we see flesh and blood doing evil, but we must remember that they have been taken captive unaware. Yes, it is true that some of them have chosen the darkness and God has a plan for that too. But for us, our battle is against the dark powers of the unseen world. We wrestle the temptations of the darkness that are sent against us and we wrestle on behalf of others as well.

Remember, darkness has no authority over you! Keep your eyes on Jesus and others will have opportunity to see the light through you.

Darkness trembles in the presence of the Lord. Look what happened when Jesus came against a legion of demons in the man at the cemetery. They were begging to go somewhere else, so Jesus sent them to a heard of pigs. The pigs were too smart to live with demons. They chose to die instead. When I thought about that, it gave me a power surge! We too have run into the living water of Christ and the demons have lost! We have died to sin and been made alive in Him.

The darkness thinks it is winning, but we know better! Darkness loves it when things are going along with no presence of God, but when it is exposed it goes crazy. It loses all control and exposes itself more and more.

Look around you at what is going on in our world. Light just keeps exposing the powers of darkness. You can see it in the faces of people who are spewing evil. They are captives like the demons who left the man for the pigs. They are screaming to get their way. They are being exposed. Keep praying!

You will receive power when Holy Spirit comes upon you. You will know how to respond and you will know what to say, but we must always remember to pray. Darkness cannot stand prayer. Prayer lights up the darkness.

We are discouraged or confused and tempted to just give up, we need only to pray. When we pray we must believe and receive the power surge. One word of God changes everything. Look into the living word of God and listen with ears to hear what He says. Remember those bright moments when you hear God and recall them when it seems like things are growing dimmer and it even appears dark. Then arise and shine for the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!
