PUZZLED

“Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” (Hosea 6:3)

Press on! We have the promises of God. He has plans, and He is able. We can trust Him. To know Him is to trust Him!

Have you ever had a day of interruptions? Have you ever had a day when you just could not figure out what or why something was happening and suddenly there was that thought, wondering if God has forgotten you? Why is this happening? The enemy is always looking for a place to insert doubt and even lack of trust in God, into our lives. Don’t let him!

We know that we know that God cannot fail. We know He is the answer. We know we can trust Him. We know, but we can’t figure out the where and the why. This is a place for standing when we have done everything to stand. Psalm 50:14 reminds us to release thankfulness to God. Just begin to thank Him for His faithfulness, love, and promises.

I am not a puzzle person. We once had one out over a family Christmas gathering and everyone that was so inclined worked on it. My desire was short-lived. I would search briefly and find nothing that fit and move on. I did actually find one piece that fit. Yahoo.

The thing about puzzles is that there is usually a picture to look at on the box. When you buy the puzzle, you know beforehand the number of pieces, and you trust that they are all there! I know a lady who puts together hundreds of puzzles, and she has occasionally found a piece missing. Still, the premise is that the pieces in the box will end up looking like the picture.

God has put all the pieces in His word. All the promises. All the protection. All the provisions. We can trust that He is working all things together for our good. Fortunately, I am a lot more determined to see how He works things out than I am to complete a puzzle in a box. I am always impressed to see how my friend turns all those pieces into a picture. I am even more impressed to see how God is going to complete His promises.

I think we sometimes make up our own pictures and as the pieces come together it does not look at all like we wanted it to. Don’t give up. Don’t give in to doubt. Don’t throw the puzzle out. Give it to God and He will do what He has promised. He loves you. He will protect you. You will behold the glory of God.

Cast your cares to God. Walk away from the puzzle and when you come back you will find that God has put some pieces in place that helps you begin to see that He certainly has not forgotten you. The picture on the box, His Word, will come together. Thank Him in advance, because you know He is faithful and that He is able to complete the good work that He has begun in you and for you.
