REVELATION TO REALIZATION

Do you now believe? (John 16:31 NKJ)

We have all had a light bulb experience or two in our life times; you know, those times when the light comes on and we realize what we previously did not really comprehend. We have all made statements like, “I never realized it would be this difficult.” Or, “If I had known it was this easy I would have done it a long time ago.” The point is that we know more after the light comes on than we did when we were in the dark!

Recently when a person in our church said that they felt God was pouring out revelations for those who would receive them, He began to speak to me about realizing the revelation. He said, “Make the revelations, realizations.” It is when we own a revelation that it becomes a realization.

For instance, when a business is in operation you might hear someone say that they did not realize a profit for three years, or that they realized a profit in the first month. That was the thing they were shooting for and realizing it or owning it was a fulfillment of their plans.

We all go through life experiencing many revelations. We are exposed to them, but that does not mean we experience them. You will often hear it said of a child that they just do not realize their potential. Or you may hear a sports commentator say that the return on the investment in some player was never realized.

As for the life we have with Christ, if we read our Bible and hear it taught we are continually exposed to great revelation. Still, revelation does us no good until we realize it for our selves. We have to own it!

For instance, how many times in your life did you hear about Jesus and how He died so you could live before you realized the life that is in Christ Jesus? For most of us, it did not happen the first time it was revealed to us. If you were a wise one who heard the truth and received Christ the very first time, then how many times since then have you heard different truths, but never realized them in your own life.

How many times did you hear about deliverance, healing, prosperity, protection, gifts of the Spirit, or any other of the multitude of things promised by God, before you owned the realization of them? How many are revelations are still sitting on the shelf?

Just read all of the things that Jesus said to the disciples previous to His asking them if they now believed. There is so much revelation there that we only know in part but have not completely realized and we are the only thing holding them up. We, like the disciples are often scattered and we leave Him alone when we should be drawing closer so that we can realize the revelation of His glory. Just keep pressing in.
