RIGHT NOW
Yes, I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. (Ps. 27:13)
The time is right now. Worship. Pray. Ask. Give. Encourage. Be encouraged. Give thanks. Rejoice. RIGHT NOW. Lord, this would seem obvious, and yet, as always, with you there is more. There is deeper. So, take me down…deeper!
Ther is always a place beyond where we are with God! There is always something coming. Our Lord is coming back to earth again! He is here. He is in our hearts if we call on Him. He is out in front of us. He is our rear guard. He is always near. My spell check wants nearby, but He is closer than that. He is nearer than we know.
David was confident that he would see. Jesus told us to rejoice because we can see. Look! Right now. The good of God is obvious. In the worst of times, look! He is near. His goodness is greater than we know. We have all experienced His goodness. Sometimes we notice. Sometimes we don’t. But we can be sure His goodness is always present.
Advent starts today. The time when we emphasize looking forward to His arrival. It is a good reminder, but forgive me for saying, “It is old news.” Good news. Great news. Wonderful news! I just find more comfort and joy in the fact that He is present. RIGHT NOW.
Oh, come let us bow down and worship. He is worthy now. Wherever we are, He is always worthy. The Lord is, was, and always will be. Today, you can hear His voice, you can see His goodness, and you can feel His loving presence.
He promised to give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts that understand. He is tender hearted and we can be too. When should we reveal His tender-hearted mercies? The obvious answer is, right now.
Every gift from God is a right now gift. Remember, He transforms us by the renewing of our minds. As I spoke with the Lord He said, “you know my heart.” Of course He was, is, and always will be right. Therefore, I have no excuse if I avoid revealing what He has placed in me. None of us do.
Isaiah 61:9 reminds us that we are people God has blessed. I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord. He has dressed us in salvation and robed us in righteousness. This is not a day way in the future this is present truth. It is always growing truth.
There is a deeper place in God! There is more joy! There is more hope! When we search for it, we will find it! I pray for great hunger and desire to fill us all. I pray for the revelation of Jesus Christ to shine so brightly in our lives, and all people would come to the knowledge of the truth. Right now.
