RULING PEACE
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called…and be thankful. (Col 3:15)
Someone might say that peace is hard to find in this day and age, but peace is right where it has always been; Jesus is the Prince of Peace! Until we find Jesus, we have never really known the peace that passes understanding. One we have experienced His peace nothing will ever truly satisfy us again.
The truth is, we came into this world not satisfied. Before we were formed, God knew us and we knew peace. In the womb we had everything we needed. Then we came into the world and we needed lots and we let people know that we needed lots. We bounced between peace when satisfied and not so peaceful when not. Seems as though we developed a habit that needed one thing; we needed the person of Jesus Christ. There was a song when I was young with the line, “Once you have found him never let him go.” It was not a gospel song, but as I always say every good and perfect gift comes from and every song is convertible! And because Jesus saved me, I know that every person is convertible as well.
Let me just say that all the protesters, abortion lovers, race haters and promoters of hate, police and America haters, gender confused, woke deceived, crazy politicians, and the people sitting in churches without an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and believing lies, can be forgiven, converted, and saved. “Forgive them father they do not know what they do;” that is what Jesus said. Believe me, I am chewing on that, swallowing, and regurgitating over and over again. It is just the way He is so I will let His peace rule on this and everything that exalts itself against His truth.
Now moving on, in an early song for Jesus, Holy Spirit wrote; “Look at this world around you. There must be more than this. People getting nowhere fast, not knowing what is missed. Remember Jesus is the key. He’s standing right outside the door; He wants to set you free!” The Chorus said; God will give you everything, more than this world could ever give. Let God give you everything; then you’ll really start to live…for Jesus. Live for Jesus!
Paul wrote about praying for his people to be born again, again. I find that Jesus’ words often rebirth me. We grow from grace to grace and truth to truth and new truths move us into new rooms in Him, and it is like being born all over again. Allowing Him to be revealed in us in new and more wonderful ways is allowing His Peace and presence to rule in our lives. This is an eternal life we are part of! What peace is God waiting to reveal to you? What are you willing to let go of in order to have it? If your response is anything and everything then peace will rule. Oh the joy of sins forgiven; oh the peace of Jesus liven! The definition of liven is to become lively. Of course I was referring to Jesus living but it did not rhyme! Keep seeking peace and pursuing it and we will not be disappointed.
