SEEING THE GLORY

Did I not say to you that you would believe you would see the glory of God? (John 11:40 NKJ)

Recently at a prayer meeting I asked the Lord to show me His glory. He said “Not now, but I will honor your request.” Well that excited me and brought to mind many of the promises that He has made to me concerning many things and contemplating other things as well.

The next couple days, everything I read confirmed that He was talking to me about His glory. I have read books on the glory and that was mostly what I was expecting when I asked to see His glory. As I processed what He was showing me, I realized that when I asked to see His glory I was asking for a burning bush or something I and all present would consider being like an open vision of God, and He was telling me to wait for the truth. Not to say that those other things are not the truth, but He was going to teach me something that was important for me and anyone else who He was leading in this direction, and with it would come those other things.

Another thing He told me that night was that He wanted me and He wanted my love. I was asking what He would like me to do and He was saying I just want you. He said that our love encourages Him and draws out of Him the things that He desires to do for us and through us. Our love for God opens the door to God. He increased my awareness of how much He desires us. I only know in part now, but it is another room in the realms of God that I am investigating.

It was when I read this passage in John’s gospel that everything cleared up. The Glory of God is everywhere. Faith and believing are what opens our eyes to recognize the glory that is right in front of our faces. As we recognize His glory in all the things we normally take for granted, it opens the door for the things that we consider to be greater manifestations of His glory.

As we recognize the glory of God in every breath we take, it opens the door for the glory of healing, deliverance, or divine wisdom. When we recognized the glory of God in the fact that we are saved, it opens the door for revival in the hearts of others.

You see, God has not been withholding His glory nor has He been hiding it, we just fail to recognize the obvious. The Glory of God is manifested in the favor of God, the love of God, the joy of God, the peace of God and etc.

It is recognizing His glory that leads to greater realms of His glory. It is giving Him glory and honor and praise that opens doors to things that are abundantly above and beyond what we can hope or imagine. God said that those who enter into worship and who spontaneously praise Him have an advantage in maintaining closeness to Him and open access to His power, provision, and abundant life. It is up to us to take advantage of what He has presented us.

So you see, His glory is over all of the earth and those with eyes to see will behold His glory and draw more of His glory into their lives and the lives of those around them. We must answer His call to glory for the sake of the lost, the church, the nation, and the world. It is time dear friends.
