SHOW YOUR HOPE
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end. (Hebrews 6:11 NKJ)
Let it be known that there is always a future when our hope is in Christ. With all of the things going on in the world, there are many who are full of fear and doubt. Even those who do not know Christ are wondering if the end is near. I do not know when the world as we know it now is going to end, but I do know that when it does, it will not be the end! There will still be a future.
This future is something to celebrate for those who know Christ, and something to fear for those who do not. However, that is not where I want to focus for this writing. For this writing I want to focus on today. Today is the day that is most important, for we do not know if tomorrow will come.
For now, we need to focus on our mission, and that is showing this present world what it is like to live with hope in Christ. This scripture challenges us to be diligent with full assurance of our hope until the end. That means that we fight the fight of faith. We need to keep our focus on the Lord and receive His love, joy, and peace in all circumstances. We have the perfect love that casts out fear, and we can display that whenever we choose to. It is in us, because Christ is in us.
In Ephesians we are reminded that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is working mightily in us. It is because He loves us so much that we can be sure He will not fail us.
With this confidence in Him, we have good news for a world that is spinning and wondering what is going on. It is not necessary to have all the answers. We only need to have confidence in the one who does. We simply need to maintain our trust and confidence in God and encourage others to do the same.
Remember that scripture assures us that those who trust in the Lord will have mercy surround them. The blind man called out for mercy and Jesus healed him. When we put our trust in the Lord, His favor surrounds our lives. Even when it appears He has forgotten us, our hope in Him must not waiver. If we will do this, we will not be disappointed, and at the same time others will be encouraged.
Remember, there is always hope. There is always reason to rejoice. There is always victory in Jesus. Yes, Give thanks to the Lord. Call upon His name. Make His deeds known among the people. Let the world we live in know without a doubt that He is faithful.
