TAKE ME OVER

The Lord replied to Moses, “I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.” (Exodus 33:17 NLT)

The favor of God is what we all have. He obviously does not approve of everything we do and say, but still, He favors us enough to not crush us. He could, you know, crush us!  He favored us all enough to send His Son so we could be made whole! What a blessing!

He is always present. He is always powerful. Sometimes, people notice! People in Kentucky noticed more than a week ago and stayed with Him. Now we all pray that this is the great harvest that we have been praying for. Lord grant us willing spirits to join in and stay.

I was watching a video of worship recently and in my spirit, I heard, “Take over.” What happened then in the video was literally a picture of what I heard. Suddenly the people entered in, to a joyous response to the presence of the Lord and I just joined them. In my mind I got up and ran around and fell down and worshipped. In the flesh I just raised my arms and cried and listened for more.

I want the Lord to take me over. He wants me to enter in. He wants us all to enter in. Sadly, I think that people often pull back. We hesitate to respond to what the Lord is doing because we want to be in control. We will decide when we will be out of control. The truth is, we seem to be willing to lose control over just about anything but Him.

Here is what I see. We are all going to be taken over by lots of things. Money or lack of it takes over. Fear, what people think, health issues, and the list goes on of things pulling us in so many directions, and each one takes a part till we fall apart. And of course, death will ultimately take us all over. That is why I want to be ready to enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart and praise on my lips. I intend to be well practiced.

God warns us that the enemy lurks about looking for opportunities to take us over. I am determined to be alert for every opportunity to enter into the takeover of the Lord.

The Spirit of God within us, is always ready to join in. I do not know for sure what happened in Kentucky. I am pretty sure that no one can fully explain it. It is not important to be able to explain it. What is important is that the people responded. The people welcomed Him. The people appreciated Him.

So, what is your response to the presence of God? We all have a response. Many people are rushing to Kentucky to see. No doubt some will see and stay, and others will see and not see what everyone is so excited about. Some will just look in but are not interested in joining in.

I want what God wants. I know He is present. I know I can stay in those moments. I want to make the right moves in those moments. I just know God moments are the greatest moments that we will ever experience. Our long to soak in the presence of the Lord. Let’s be open to His take over. Determine in your heart to never pull away!
