THERE IS ALWAYS TIME
Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 1:13 NLT)
There is always time to love God. There is always time to worship. Faith and love that come from Christ Jesus compels us to reach out to God. We are drawn and at times driven to stop and call out to Him. Paul goes on to say that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners and I am the worst of them all. And we all say I am the worst!
If we cannot or will not say that we are the worst we will miss much in our walk with God, because if we are not the worst, then in our mind we are not so bad! If we are not so bad, we are not so needy. If we are not so needy, we are not so likely to humble ourselves and express the deep love for God that we should have!
Just before starting this, I came into the house and saw my guitar sitting on the couch. Earlier I had the urge to just stop and sing to the Lord, but distractions put it off. Now, I was under the wire to write this devotion and I said to myself or more than likely I agreed with God that there is always time to tell the Lord, I love Him. So that is what I did. I sang to Him, “There is always time to stop and say I love you. There is always to turn and worship You.” I must say it is difficult to walk away from those times, but it never has to stop.
Everything changes when we change what we are doing and spend time with the Lord. What would happen in our world if everyone would look up to Him. We know the answer to that, and we know that the day is coming.
For our part, that day is today and every day. There is time for us to spend time with God all the time. When we spend time with God, we have an overflow that changes the world around us. People everywhere are looking for that overflow, even if they do not know it.
The peace that God gives us is not ours to hoard, it is ours to pass around. As we pass His peace around, we are continually filled to overflowing. His peace and love do not run out!
There is always time to care and there is always time to share. God will guide us, and God will guide others to us.
Recently I had an urge to be somewhere that would not let up and so I did what was necessary to be there. I love it when the urge and the confirmation meet. That happened at least twice this week. On both occasions, they were simple responses that turned out to be amazing.
God reminds me that I have been thanking Him for being so faithful to keep me all these years and I had also asked Him to accelerate my life and keep me shifting upwards! He is amazing.
The best answer to all that concerns us in the world right now is to take time to call upon the Lord. Right now, let’s all stop and say, “I love you Lord! I really really love you!
