THINKING OF YOU

O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts. (Psalm 92:5)

God is thinking of you! “I am thinking of you.” I was thinking of the Lord and caught up in being amazed at His goodness, when I heard Him say, “I am thinking of you.” It was not an audible voice, but it was loud in my spirit.

I know that He speaks in His word about the thoughts and plans He has for us. Obviously, He thinks about us! The question is posed about what is man, that you consider him. Every time I read that, I wonder why He considers us. Truly He is so far above our ways and thoughts, and still, here we are!

That word was planted in my heart and God has been cultivating and watering it, and I am continually blessed, comforted, and wondering where it is taking me.

One thing I know is that I am supposed to let others know. So, I am letting you know that God is thinking of you. I want to encourage you to think about this. Don’t take it lightly, like we can sometimes do when we read or hear about something from God that we think we know, or we don’t see how it applies to us. Take a little moment to imagine God thinking about you.

Consider that He is fondly watching over you and enjoying you. Remember, He knows things and considers things that we have no idea about. We may tend to think about our failures and losses, but He has moved past them toward your future and hope.

Can you see Jesus simply asking if you love Him? Do you love Him? His response to Peter was, “Good enough, feed my lambs.” That is a meal we need, and a meal we need to digest and share. Peter had a testimony about the goodness and mercy of God. Since Jesus did not dwell on his failure, neither would he.

I want to love Jesus perfectly. I want to bring glory to God in everything I do and say. When I succeed, I give the glory to God. When I fail, I get up and thank Him for keeping me going.

I understand better now, somehow, that what He is thinking about does not change. I have a bit of a childlike understanding the importance He places on each of His children.  There has been a refreshing shift in the wind. It is like the old song that says, “Something happened and now I know, He touched me and made me whole!”

Don’t lose sight of the hope that is in Christ Jesus. Be comforted by His thoughts concerning you. I am Jeremiah, it was not the great behavior of the people that stirred God’s thoughts. It was in spite of what had been going on that God said, “I know the plans I have for you.” They were plans for good! So, not only has God not forgotten you; He is thinking of you! Bask in that for a bit.
