TRANSFORMED
Do not be afraid, man, He said to me, because God loves you very much. I want your mind to rest. I want you to be strong, very strong. When He said this, I felt stronger. So I spoke again. My Lord, speak to me, because you have made me strong again. (Daniel 10:19 EASY)
God is able to do what He says He will do. This is simply the way it is. God told Daniel He loved him very much. He showed us He loves us very much when Jesus came and died in order to make us right with God. This is the simple and wonderful truth.
We are told that we are able to love because God first loved us. Will we? Will we love when we do not feel like it? Will we love when they don’t deserve it? God is always able, are we willing to be made able?
Are we desperate for God to transform us? Do we realize what we have received? We are forgiven. The truth is Jesus died for all sin for all time. So we have a place with Him. We have the invitation. When we come to see this, conviction offers a ride to repentance.
Sometimes we may decide not to take that ride. Most everyone has passed up many opportunities to repent. We have all experienced times when we got close but we overcame the conviction because we were deceived in one way or another and that deception made us comfortable enough to hold off on the repentance.
Well, if we miss the ride, another opportunity will arise and hopefully we will take that ride to repentance and know the joy of sins forgiven.
Once we receive that wonderful gift of forgiveness, God has the transformation of our lives in mind. Without transformation, we just wander in the wilderness of not enough. We do not have enough peace. We are never quite satisfied. We battle with guilt and we are sorry for our sins, but then we do it again and it is a vicious cycle.
God will not ever stop working to see us transformed. He does not want us to wander in a land of misery, where we are up and down and condemned and feeling rejected. He wants us to run into the truth that who the son sets free is free in deed.
Holy Spirit wants to lead us to the place where the joy of the love of the Lord never ceases. It is a place where we know His mercy never comes to an end and we are quick to ask forgiveness and rest in that mercy.
We need only to be perfectible. God is able. It is His plan. So when we know before we begin that Jesus has forgiven all sin, we can be sure that all sin, includes our sin. We just need to take it to Him and receive His forgiveness. Then we need to walk by faith and seek Him. Don’t stop!
