TRUST ACCOUNT

But if you are willing to listen...(Luke 6:27a)

Are we willing to listen? Everything in the Word of God is for everyone who will believe. We can only believe if we hear. We can only hear if someone tells us and if we are willing to listen. Each time I share what I believe with all my heart that God wants me to share, I pray that it will be only what He wants. I do not share as though I am anything but He is something. He is everything and if we are willing to receive the revelation that the Holy Spirit has for us, it will always change our lives. With that, let’s see what we can learn.

If you will read the 6th chapter of Luke, you will see that Jesus started it out by messing with what the religious leaders and their followers had previously understood. In fact when you think about it, Jesus messed with what everyone thought all the time. There were very few preconceived ideas that He left alone and even those, He spent time fine-tuning. This was what God did with me recently as I was praying and thanking Him for all that He has done for me. He reminded me that what Jesus did, He is still doing. Now there was something about this that was like ice cream on the cake for me. It was one of those times when a great big “YES” went off in my spirit. Then two words came as clear as could be, “Trust account.” Do you understand the implications of this?

Obviously, we are commanded to trust the Lord with all of our hearts. So, as we trust Him we draw on the things He promised. We can all say we trust the Lord, but quite often we add that no one knows for sure what the Lord has in mind. Once we add that, we are saying we will just keep trusting, but never really expecting. Still, trusting is a good start. Lets see if we can add some expecting to our trusting. If you will, please consider the idea of a trust account with me on another level.

You see, with a trust account, everything is there for those who are designated to benefit from it. Whether they understand it, or even know it exists, it is still theirs. Sometimes, parents will set up an account when children are young and the children do not even know about it. Then one day when they are old enough to understand, the parents will explain to them that this account is theirs to be used however they want! Sometimes there are stipulations placed on the account as to what age the holdings are available or how much can be taken out, but the bottom line is that it belongs to them. .

Jesus has set up an account for us and the only stipulation is that we believe in Him and in His Word. His name is all we need to present in order to withdraw from His trust. There is no possibility of it ever running out. Jesus deposited our healing, health, protection, direction, peace, prosperity, and everything else in this trust. What do you think about that? It sure has me excited about what He has planned! I pray that the Holy Spirit stirs you to greater understanding of what Christ has deposited for all of us.
