When we think about enduring it usually brings to mind troubles. Well, Jesus did promise that in this world we would have troubles but He also told us to be happy because He had overcome all of them. No mater what trouble there may be, Jesus has it covered. So when there are troubles, we need to patiently endure. We can do this by using the keys that God laid out earlier in this chapter. Here are a few.

We have God’s promise that He no longer remembers our sin. This gives us boldness to come to Him and sit at His feet and worship and be strengthened by His presence. We know that if we keep on trusting we will see the perfect will of God done in our lives and we know that His plans for us are good. We are to remind ourselves that God can be trusted. He is the God who cannot fail.

We are told to get together and to encourage one another. We are to remind each other to keep on trusting the Lord. We should be so encouraged that we just have outburst of love and good deeds going on. Oh how we need this in our lives. We need to remind ourselves to keep on trusting. If there is no one near to remind you, do like David did and talk to yourself. Ask yourself what is the matter? Remind yourself that if you will just praise the Lord you will behold His glory, and when His glory breaks out there is some rejoicing to be done.

We say yes that is what we need in times of trouble. The truth is, we need this more in good times than we do in troubled times. For in the good times, we have a tendency to forget our dependence on the Lord. We might forget to look for His perfect will and run out ahead or off to the side from what is really best.

You see there is always something better coming with God. There is always something more beneficial, because it is the plan of God. Whether we realize it or not, the only thing that will truly satisfy is His perfect plan for our lives, so all the time we need to be aware of our need to keep on trusting God.

When things are tuff, even those who do not believe have a tendency to call out to God. They may blame Him for the trouble but all the same they don’t know where else to go. When you know God, of course you will go to Him in troubles. Just don’t forget to patiently wait on Him and seek Him even when things are great.

If we do this, then we will see all the things God has promised. Have you ever wondered how many things you may have left laying on the table because you did not patiently continue to seek the Lord? Or how much more trouble have we gone through because we stopped trusting just before God finished our victory. Keep on trusting no matter what.
