I can praise the Lord! You can praise the Lord! We all can praise the Lord! This is what I have determined that I must do. It is easy. It removes stress. It brings peace. It opens the door to joy. Yes this is what we can do.

It seems that darkness surrounds the world but we can praise the Lord because darkness can never overcome the Light. The smallest firefly shines brightly in darkness. Once I was in a cave and they shut off all of the lights; talk about dark! But then they lit a match and that little match shown like a flood light.

We must have confidence in the Light and refuse to walk in darkness. We must refuse to allow the darkness to take away our confidence. Just remember you can praise the Lord. Praising God turns on the light and opens a door for others to do the same. Of course darkness hates the light to so do not be surprised if everyone does not rejoice with you. Still, it is time that we as the light, did everything we can to light things up instead of letting a little darkness take over.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we are honoring those who gave their all in the fight for light and what is right. In my opinion, anyone who will not honor these great men and women should have no right to live in this country, but because we are such a great country there will be people who will protest the right thing and get away with it.

Because we are one nation under God we have been and will continue to be a great nation as long as the light continues to shine. We who know God have a responsibility to see to it that the light continues to shine. Therefore we must not be shy about what is right. We must stand for life at conception, for marriage between and man and woman, and for all the moral standards that God stands for, because it is for our own good as well as for this nation and the world.

It is time for worshippers to arise. It is time that we all do what is the easiest thing in the world to do and that is to trust and praise God. When we have confidence in Him, we know that great blessings are ours because that is what He promised. We must boldly declare what we know. You may feel like your little light cannot do much, but that is just not true. Turn on your light and just see how the darkness flees. Oh the devil will make a lot of noise while he retreats. He will scream and lie and falsely accuse because that is what he does, but he cannot stop the light.

Joshua laid a foundation for the key to success when he told the people to choose what they would do but as for his house, they would praise the Lord. So we no longer need to wonder what we can do or if we can do anything that will make a difference. The answer is that we can praise the Lord. With praise as our banner we will find not only that the enemy flees, but also that the blessings of God following along. Then more and more as we see that great blessings belong to those who trust and praise the Lord we will grow bolder in declaring the goodness of God. This country needs people who praise God in order to keep it great for God and for those who gave their lives to defend it.
