YOU KNOW
But you have an anointing from the Holy One and you know all things. (1John 2:20 NKJ
If you know Jesus, then you know all things. You may not realize it. You may not feel like it. You may not act like it. But God’s word is truth and His Word says that the Holy Spirit, Who knows all things, will in turn enlighten us so that we know all things. In current thinking, the Holy Spirit is like a search engine that surpasses all the others put together and there is only one source. So if Christ is in us, then the knowing is in us as well!
So does that mean that we really can do all things through Christ who strengthens us? Does that mean that He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world? Is everything that the Word of God says about me true? Yes. Yes. Yes. In fact, in Him, all things are yes and amen.
I don’t believe that there is one Christian who is totally innocent of doubting. We are all guilty of reading the word of God and thinking some things sound nice, but then we do not take the time to incorporate it into our lives.
If we are born again, and if we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then we know a lot more than we can begin to imagine. If we yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then we know that His word is the truth, and if we want to know, we can. Could it be that there are things we prefer to stay just a bit in the dark about?
How about when the Word says that when we are in Christ we cannot sin. It does not say that we cannot still choose to sin, the truth is that we have the strength and the desire in us to keep from it. Jesus hates unrighteousness and loves righteousness. If it is easy for us to sin and does not bother us in the least bit after we do, something has to be disconnected. On the other hand, if we hate when we do those things, we are still going and growing.
If He is in us, we know how God loves us! If He is in us, we are confident that He hears us when we pray. As I read how we know that if we ask anything according to His will He will do it, it occurred to me that it was and is His will that we ask. Sometimes we get so hung up about what His will really is that we fail to ask. It sounds good that we are willing to trust whatever He decides, but it does not say much for our confidence in His love and desire to bless us. Of course we must always yield to His will, however, at the same time we need to believe that His desire is for us to trust enough to ask.
Jesus said that if we abide in Him and His Word abides in us then we would know the truth and truth would make us free. We will never be truly free until we completely trust Him. The Holy Spirit knows how to bring this about in our lives. It is up to us to believe it. Remember, all things are possible for them that believe. God help us to know you more!
